A SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF
ROSALEEN REYNOLDS
DONAHUE
Rosaleen Reynolds Donahue is a
watercolorist. A Manhattan
Native, Rosaleen has enjoyed a
life-long interest in art and
painting. Now residing in
Doylestown, Pennsylvania she is
an active member of the
Doylestown Art Group. She is
also a member and the
Chairperson of Exhibits of the
Ivyland Art Group.
Eager to learn and develop her
own style, Rosaleen has studied
with several teachers. Fran and
Billie Samuelson were especially
influential in her art education.
In the Impressionist tradition,
Rosaleen has created a style of
true color and light uniquely her
own.
She has traveled extensively
throughout England, Ireland,
Portugal, Spain, Italy, and
Eastern Europe and utilizes
those experiences in her
paintings.
Ms. Donahue's work has been
exhibited throughout the region
and she has been the recipient of
many awards and honors. Her
paintings hang in private
collections in England, Ireland,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New
York and Florida. The spring of
2003 brought Rosaleen a coveted
invitation to exhibit her work at
the Gronendahl Barn Studio
Gallery in Bucks County,
Pennsylvania.
Working in a studio or outdoors,
she continues to translate her
observations into colorful
distinctive paintings.
